Jennings O’Donovan delivered a comprehensive suite of services for the €150 million Derrinlough Wind Farm, currently operational in County Offaly. Awarded in 2022, the project involved the development of 21 wind turbine generators (WTG), each rated at 6 MW, providing a total installed capacity of 126 MW.
The wind farm is arranged across two bogland sites and incorporates significant supporting infrastructure, including access roads, site compounds, amenity trails, peat and subsoil repositories, drainage systems, landscaping works and a 110 kV substation with an associated grid connection.
Jennings O’Donovan’s role spans project design, compliance, procurement and project management. Acting as owner’s engineer and resident engineer, the team was responsible for environmental, health and safety and PSDP duties, ensuring high standards are met throughout construction.
