With a portfolio of successful planning applications for major infrastructure projects including renewable energy projects (wind and solar developments), wastewater treatment plants, water supply schemes and aquaculture projects, Jennings O’Donovan have extensive experience in the Irish and Northern Irish Planning systems.

Our services include the production of feasibility studies, Environmental Impact Statements, Appropriate Assessments, consultation with statutory and non-statutory consultees, public consultations and landowner negotiations.

Projects

Ballyragget Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)

A 3.11 ha battery energy storage system in Co. Kilkenny, with JOD delivering planning, environmental assessment, CEMP, civil design reporting and full project coordination for ART Generation.

Richfield Solar Farm

A 21 MWp solar development in County Wexford, where JOD delivered full planning, environmental assessment, HDD methodology, CEMP preparation and project management for SSE Renewables.

Rathrush Solar Farm

A 63 MW solar PV development in County Carlow, with JOD leading planning, environmental assessment, survey coordination and full project management for Ørsted.

Firlough Wind Farm & Hydrogen Plant, Co. Mayo / Co. Sligo

A major renewable energy development comprising a 13‑turbine wind farm and a green hydrogen plant across Mayo and Sligo, with JOD leading the full SID planning process, EIAR preparation, design coordination and stakeholder engagement.
