As a Fellow of Engineers Ireland, a Registered Fellow of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ireland, and a Chartered Engineer with over 28 years of experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my role as a Project Manager. In my current Technical Director position at JOD, I oversee the Water Engineering and Leisure/Tourism departments, where I have successfully managed multiple public infrastructure projects from concept to completion.
I have extensive experience in the preparation of feasibility studies, design review reports, and strategic plans, and ensuring compliance with various department circulars such as procurement/construction stage budgets and public spending codes. My expertise also extends to the design, tender, and administration of large public water supply projects, having worked with contracts including GCCC Public Works Contracts, and FIDIC Contracts.
Health and safety is of the utmost importance to me, and I have taken on the role of Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP), preparing risk assessments, preliminary safety and health plans, and coordinating the compilation of safety files. I have a proven track record in contract administration and project management, including fulfilling the role of Employers Representative as required under construction contracts.
I am confident in my communication skills and have successfully chaired numerous meetings, workshops, and presentations, delivering clear and concise information to a variety of stakeholders, including Irish Water, Local Authorities, clients, and the public.
