We are currently actively recruiting Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Resident Engineers across various experience levels to join our dynamic and expanding construction supervision team. These positions support the successful delivery of a large-scale programme of Water and Wastewater infrastructure projects commissioned by Uisce Eireann.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a highly regarded Site Supervision Team with a strong reputation for delivering vital infrastructure efficiently and to the highest standards. You will play an integral role in ensuring quality, safety and compliance across interesting and significant capital works.


Key Responsibilities (depending on role level):

On-Site Supervision & Collaboration

  • Supervise MEICA works on-site, ensuring accuracy in records, measurements and documentation.
  • Report to the Project Team and Employer’s Representative.
  • Collaborate with site supervision teams across multiple contracts.
  • Ensure MEICA works comply with specifications.
  • Contribute to quality and safety standards throughout project delivery.

Contract & Technical Review

  • Assess contractor claims, payment applications and performance against KPIs.
  • Review contractor RAMS and MEICA submissions, providing clear feedback.
  • Evaluate design submissions, equipment specifications and ensure alignment with project/client requirements.
  • Oversee commissioning activities, including process proving and system testing.

Candidate Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree-qualified (Level 8 or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
  • Resident Engineer: Minimum 4 years’ experience in supervising MEICA works.
  • Senior Resident Engineer: 7–10 years of experience in large-scale engineering projects, preferably in the water sector.
  • Solid understanding of the water/wastewater industry and capital delivery frameworks.
  • Experience in the design, installation and commissioning of MEICA systems.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance systems and contract management.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting P&IDs, wiring diagrams, control philosophies and managing FAT/SAT.
  • Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Satisfactory knowledge of construction contracts (experience in FIDIC and Public Works forms is advantageous but not essential).
  • Skilled in producing clear, detailed reports and maintaining thorough site records.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office and digital documentation tools.

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and time management skills.
  • Full, clean driving licence required.
